A home away from home

(This post is from yesterday, but I had minor technology difficulties. Thanks for understanding!)

Safe and sound at the PE International Airport
We have arrived! After a three flights, a bus ride, multiple customs clearings, and a taxi ride, we have arrived at the most beautiful country I have yet to lay eyes on: South Africa. I must admit, it did not hit me that I was actually in South Africa until I stepped off of the plane at Port Elizabeth International Airport. I had been waiting so long for this day. The weather is perfect, the people are so friendly, and the landscape is breathtaking. What a blessing it is to be in this place! I am so thankful to be with such a wonderful group of people. We were still smiling after the 18 hour journey!

We are staying at Algoa Bed and Breakfast just a few blocks from the Indian Ocean! The staff greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us to our room. Of course, we had to explore the area to see the sights. The area of Port Elizabeth where we are staying reminds me of a beach town in the states. There is a boardwalk with a wide variety of restaurants, shops, and stores. We are still searching for an authentic South African restaurant! I know there will be more to come later, but jet-lag is getting the best of me.

 Take care everyone!
